White Heart Anchor

$40.00

What is a Heart Anchor?

Living Art Heart Anchors help bring grounding and support across a myriad of experiences in our daily lives. They connect us all through the waves of change like the waves of the ocean flow in and out on the shore. They are especially powerful during times of difficult shifts — new endings and new beginnings.

Inspiration for the heart anchors came one day in 2020 when stones washed up on the shoreline of Lake Michigan beside me. I was inspired to hold a weighty stone to my chest as I watched the sun setting. Hand over hand on my heart, I felt an anchoring calm my entire body.

I have laid the white heart anchor on the heart of someone ready to transition. I have seen the calm that washes over them as they release their essence to the spiritual shores as they take their last breath and beat their last heart beat. Then I have given the same heart anchor holding the essence of the last breath to the next of kin so that they can treasure and remember their loved one. Holding the same anchor to their heart keeps the loved one close after death.

How are the Heart Anchors made?

Earth stones gathered from the shores of Lake Michigan are nestled within tactile, soft fabric that is hand-sewn with love, creating a grounding Heart Anchor to anchor us to our own hearts, allowing us to live in the present moment.

How to use Your Heart Anchor

Hold the Heart Anchor to your chest, placing your right hand over your left hand. Slowly breathe in and out through your nose or mouth. The earth stone within provides a gentle weight to help you return to the rise and fall of each breath, relaxing the nervous system and grounding you in your meditative practice.

LivingArt Heart Anchors can also be a touchstone as we experience the completion of life for a loved one, and they offer us a way to honor them. By holding your Heart Anchor over the heart of your beloved, you can capture their final heartbeat within your Heart Anchor, allowing you to always be close to them.
